Steve Stott

Managing Director

After spending 12 years with Krauss Maffei Process Technology as worldwide operations manager, Steve moved into medical engineering and then joined Medical Air in 2009, where he was able to continue his active involvement in specialist design. In 2013, he spearheaded the management buy-out, and is now managing director.

Under his leadership, the company has flourished - the service division alone has grown from £70K per annum to £1,200K. Dedicated to delivering an exceptional level of customer service, Steve brings vision to Medical Air, and a determination to grow the business, while always remaining true to its “family company” ethos.

Stephen Taylor

Sales Director

After a lifetime working in the medical and healthcare sectors, Stephen joined Medical Air in March 2008 and with Steve, was part of the management buy-out. His wealth of experience in medical sales means he has an extensive knowledge of the healthcare sector, to which no one else in the business comes close.

Stephen places great emphasis on developing a relationship with clients, many of whom have known him for years. He wants Medical Air to be the first company a hospital, laboratory, manufacturing plant or university thinks of when it needs a clean air environment, and is justifiably proud of the leading position the company holds in its field.

Andy Smith

Technical Director

Andy has been with Medical Air for over 30 years, and is a company man through and through.

He has worked in virtually every department, starting as a draughtsman then moving through contract, sales, and design to become technical director.

His knowledge of the business is unrivalled, and his commitment to the company is clear in everything he does.

Barry McCurdy

Finance Director

Barry joined Medical Air in 2013, having worked as an accountant in various industries.

His breadth of experience, coupled with a keen eye for detail, mean he is exactly the right man to steer the company’s finances, always committed to making a big difference through little changes.

Lee Manfred

Operations Director

Lee joined Medical Air in 2013, bringing a wealth of experience in fabrication and metalwork. He has developed the warehouse team and taken the whole department forward, creating a space in which the company’s highly engineered and advanced products can be developed and manufactured.

He has a particular interest in incorporating the latest technologies into the design and manufacturing process.

Adrian Parkin

Contracts Manager

Adrian joined Medical Air after 17 years at a major medical engineering company, where he was involved in various areas of the business before becoming managing director. He has worked extensively in the healthcare, life sciences and pharmaceutical industries with wide experience in contract management, sales, and business development.

He has a broad understanding of market trends and opportunities as well as practical experience of project management, technical engineering and departmental and business management.

Will Evans

Business Development Manager

Will has spent his entire career in the medical engineering sector and has developed a strong empathy with clinicians and end users.

He is absolutely committed to using engineering to deliver patient protection in the face of challenges like surgical site infection (SSI).

His passion and knowledge make him ideally placed to take Medical Air forward into an exciting future.

Pam Brierley

Service Manager

Pam has been with Medical Air for over 20 years, and brought a fresh dynamic to the service department when she joined MAT FM in 2009.

She is particularly proud of the relationship her team builds with customers – she is a regular visitor to client premises, putting a human face to the MAT FM name and always making sure that clients understand how much the company values their business.
